Nestled in the heart of the French Alps, Morzine is a paradise for mountain bikers. Whether you're an adrenaline junkie chasing the steepest descents or a casual rider looking to soak in the views, the region offers something for everyone. From iconic downhill tracks to scenic singletracks, here’s our guide to the must-ride trails in Morzine and beyond.

1. Pleney – The Iconic Downhill Playground
If you’re heading to Morzine, the Pleney area is likely at the top of your list – and for good reason. Pleney is renowned for its fast and techy downhill trails, perfect for riders looking for some serious adrenaline, and its notorious Pleney steeps, cut into the surrounding steep terrain by the local riders themselves, these take no prisoners!
Trail Highlights:

Pleney Black: A Steep race line, high-speed challenge for experienced riders.

Pleney Steeps: Fast, steep, super loose and outright outrageous. Wild when wet!
Top Tip: Pleney gets busy during peak times, so hit the trails early in the morning or late afternoon to avoid the crowds.
2. Super Morzine – Jumps, Berms, and Endless Fun
Super Morzine offers a network of trails designed with flow and fun in mind.
Trail Highlights:

Tutti Frutti: Perfect for berm lovers, this jumpy flow trail is all about progression, and riding in trains with all your friends, this trail is super popular so its always a great sick!

Zore: A flowing blue run with rollers, berms, and some sneaky technical sections.
Top Tip: Don’t miss the Super Morzine gondola ride – the views alone are worth it, also try not to ride into cows as the roam free on this side of morzine!
3. Les Gets – A Must-Visit Just a Ride Away
A short ride or lift away from Morzine, Les Gets is another MTB hotspot that’s part of the Portes du Soleil network. With a mix of freeride tracks, downhill runs, and bike parks, Les Gets has something for everyone.

Mont Chery: Where the big dogs race the Les gets world cup, come ride some of the trails open to public down the same terrain.

Chavannes Blue Run: A forgiving flow trail that’s ideal for beginners and those looking to cruise.
Top Tip: Don’t miss the Crankworx event if you’re visiting in the summer – Les Gets comes alive with some of the best riders in the world.
4. Chatel – For the Bold and Brave
For those who like their trails steep and technical, Chatel is worth the journey. Known for its gnarly downhill runs and big features, this is the place to push your limits.

Bike Park Black Shore: With wooden features and technical drops, this trail is pure adrenaline. So much fun!

Vorachatak: A challenging, fast-paced run with tight corners and rough terrain.
Top Tip: Warm up before tackling these trails – Chatel is not for the faint-hearted!
5. Avoriaz – A Scenic High-Altitude Adventure
Sitting above Morzine, Avoriaz offers breathtaking alpine views and a range of trails for every skill level. It’s the perfect spot to combine incredible scenery with epic riding.
